This is a picture book that will be enjoyed by kids who enjoy nature. It is an endearing story which shows the importance of bonding with grandparents.

The story is about a little girl and her grandfather. One morning, the grandfather has an idea: he suggests that they should go out for a walk to find pinecones. But the walk must be a quiet walk—something that would be hard for a child her age. But she was looking forward to it because it was a precious time to spend with her grandfather in nature.

So, along they went. They found all kinds of treasures along the way. But did they find the pinecones that they were looking for? How long did it take them to find them?

This story will show how important grandparents are to kids. It will also instill a joy of solitude and nature in a child, which is wonderful given our busy, noisy and distracted world where kids have little time to just be quiet and close to family and commune with nature in all its gracious beauty.

The illustrations are also bright and beautiful, bringing the message home to kids of all ages. Thank you Barbara and Patti for such a wonderful picture book for kids!
