When Mrs. Whimpydimple, the teacher, announces that the class will be going to the zoo, Splat was so excited. Everyone is excited different animals, elephants, girraffs, kangaroo’s and so on. But splat isn’t looking forward to seeing the usual zoo animals–he wants to see penguins because they are black and white like he is.

All day, Splat can’t wait to see the penguins. But when the smallest animal shuts down the penguin exhibit, Splat is disappointed because he won’t get to see the penguins. But is there a way to get around this conundrum?

Rob Scotton doesn’t disappoint in this wonderful book!  Kids of all ages will enjoy the book.  It is entertaining and it will tickle their funny bones too.
