How Long Will You Love Me? Book Review

Love Me coverHow Long Will I love Me?
Patti Brassard Jefferson

This is a wonderful picture book for the younger and older child about a very important topic. It is very bright and colorful and the illustrations are so engaging and inspiring.

Many younger children, older children, and even adults wonder how long a particular person will love them. It is a question that many of us ponder frequently. Patti answers this question in many different ways. She says that I will love you until the birds can no longer fly, the frogs no longer hop, the sun and moon come down, the oceans turn to sand, and all freckles fall off the face, just to name a few. Now that is a long time, huh?

This is a GREAT theme for kids too since today they are told through the media that love doesn’t last and is at most a short term thing that can be replaced many times during a person’s lifetime. Patti gives us another answer, one that younger and older kids can treasure for a very long time. How GREAT!

Patti is a debut author. She also illustrates her own books. Her illustrations are bold, colorful and ever so cute. They will indeed transport every reader into her world of long-lasting love.

Thank YOU for such a wonderful picture book Patti! It will grace many children’s life.
