Book Review: T is for Territories by Michael Arvaarluk Kusugak

51OBkGCFUqL._SL500_AA300_This is a GREAT picture book about the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut like no other. It offers a lot of information for young kids about this vast northern hemisphere which spans three time zones.

The Northwest Territories is larger than Saskatchewan and Alberta combined, despite the fact that it was reduced in size on four different occasions. This isn’t one territory but three in one.

There is such a wide variety of history and background information in this wonderful book. It will educate the reader and give them a great appreciation of the northwest territories and surrounding areas. And this journey is presented alphabetically without leaving the comforts of home.

This book could also be used in the classroom for geography and history projects.
