An Enchanting Picture Book by a Canadian Author (52)

This is a great story about a serious topic–aging and memory loss.

The story is about Charlie’s relationship with his Grandpa. Grandpa always took the time to tell Charlie stories to keep him amused and happy. But then Grandpa got sick and he couldn’t do that anymore. Charlie was hurt at first. But then he figured just what to do. He decided to tell him stories and keep him occupied and happy. His stories made his Grandpa laugh and Charlie was happy that he could because Grandpa looked so sad most times.

This is a great story about perspicacity and courage. It is also a story that will show the reader that sometimes kids have to find solutions to problems too, and that they could do so with a little bit of thinking and a whole lot of love.
