#18-An Important Picture Book about a Very Important Theme

This is an important and thought-provoking picture book for our busy cultural times.

It is about how busy we usually are and how much we rely on our technology and hydro for our lives and pastime. We may think that we can’t cope without hydro. But we can with a little bit of ingenuity. All we have to do is to change our mindset a bit and detechnologize our lives.

Another theme that runs through the book is that we usually become much more social and connected without our technological devices and hydro. This gives us a chance to associate with one another and socialize more. This is a great message for kids who believe that they always have to be plugged into technology.

The last main theme in the book is that we are way too busy. We must take the time to simply be unplugged and resting. This is a great message for kids in this frazzled world of ours that is plugged in 24/7.

  1. Great reviews, Irene. I also looked over Meet Maggie Lyon as I wanted to get some ideas for questions to ask a guest blogger. Thanks for posting.
