A Great Fantasy Story for Kids 3 to 8

Michael and the Magic Dinosaur
Sandi Bloomberg
Illustrated by Kevin Collier

Michael and The Magic Dinosaur is a cute and very funny picture book about dinosaurs for kids 3 to 8. Many kids love dinosaurs, especially boys, and this dinosaur story will deliver kids of all ages much enjoyment and excitement. The illustrations are vivid and colourful, making the story very realistic and engaging.

The story begins when Michael wakes up one night and sees his toy dinosaur start growing right beside him on his bed. Within minutes, the small toy dinosaur grows into a huge dinosaur. He is so big that he breaks through walls and rips right through the house. Before Michael knows it, they are outside. Michael hops up on the dinosaur’s back and they ride off into town.

On the way into town, however, the dinosaur takes Michael to a nearby lake where he drinks water from a fountain. Then the dinosaur takes Michael to a nearby park to continue their adventure. That is when the dinosaur starts causing even more chaos and damage. He knocks over a statue and crumbles it into pieces. Will the dinosaur bring Michael back home safely? After all, Michael has to go to school.

This story will fascinate the reader and take him on an adventure that will keep him reading and continuously turning the pages of this wonderful book. And then the reader will be brought back to reality, just in time to go to school. I read the book to my nephew, and he absolutely loves it. I will be reading the book to a class of grade 2’s very soon.

Sandi Bloomberg has published a lot of wonderful children’s books, such as Veronica and the Magic Fountain, Brett and the Magic Super Heroes, and Jake and the Magic Soccer Ball. This book, just like the others, will be a delight to kids of all ages. I can’t wait to read her next book!
