This is a cute and adorable picture book about a girl’s friendship with her stuffed alligator. He seems to always be disturbing her, regardless of what she’s doing. But he hated when Amanda went out and left him alone. He loved to play with her and keep her company.
This is a picture book which has many different themes. They are as follows:
1. Friendship makes life interesting, and
2. Reading is a wonderful pastime.
This book is humorous and speaks to kids. I’m sure most kids will be able to relate to Amanda’s plight in some way shape or form.
The book may also instill the love of reading in kids. And this would definitely be a bonus.
