Clorinda is a cow with huge dreams and aspirations. She wants to be a great baseball player. So, she practices a lot! She has two great friends, Hop and Len who really believe in her and help her aspire to be her best.
Then Clorinda meets Deke. He loves baseball too. She believes that one of her goals is to make Deke a star and popular. It’s amazing how one friend can help another to be his/her best.
Deke does sign up for a big and popular baseball team, Bosstown, and Clorinda is his number one fan. When Deke goes to Bosstown, he can’t seem to perform well without Clorinda. So, the team tries to bring Clorinda over to coach Deke. Does he ever get to play the game though?
This is a great picture book with a wonderful message for kids. It is funny and heart-warming at the same time. One theme that runs through the book is the power of great friendships and how the can help us become our best.
